Vansbro kommun is building its profile by using an app created with the help of DigitEvent.
Vansbro kommun has taken a big step forward to get closer to their inhabitants and visitors via their new Vansbroapp, says Alireza Akhondri. The app would act as an informative complement to their homepage vansbro.se
It was Vansbro kommun’s newly recruited Head of Integration, Alireza Akhondri, who took the initiative of having an app for the kommun. He contacted us at DigitEvent to assist him in creating the app and we obviously were delighted to!
“I felt that an easily accessible information platform for the inhabitants and visitors of Vansbro, was missing. I proposed my idea to the Kommun Head Oscar Fredriksson, of creating an app for smart phones and he keenly accepted and approved the proposal. Everything moved on after that.” Said Alireza Akhondi.
The app that has been developed by Mats Andersson from DigitEvent in Sandviken, includes a brief history of Vansbro Kommun, the local job market, industry and visitors/tourist information. There is a list of job vacancies, news, tourist attractions & happenings, as well as event calendar that includes both big and small events from the entire region. An important feature of the app is your ability to report errors for example water leaks or street lights that are out of order, easily & directly from the convenience of your mobile phone.
Such a possibility does not exist on the homepage www.vansbro.se. To report an error directly from your phone is an important civic function, says Alireza.
I hope that everyone who has a connection to, or is interested in Vansbro kommun would download the app. Ofcourse, the app will be free of cost, says Alireza Akhondi.
The app is a first step in the strategic development towards Vansbro kommun’s internal and external communication. The region has recruited Anna Nyberg as the Communicator from 1st of June, and among other things, the homepage will have new content and a new form.
The app is currently available in the App store as well as Google Play, and can easily be found with search keywords “Vansbro”.
You can download the app here.
